Cloch Lighthouse Acrylic Painting

Acrylic painting on canvas, of Cloch Lighthouse, Dunoon, Scotland at sunset. size 60x80cm. This painting was lovingly created depicting one of my favourite views from the River Clyde in Scotland. The River Clyde flows from it's origins in Lanark through Glasgow to its destination on the West Coast of Scotland near the Irish Sea. This Lighthouse is situated near to the Firth of Clyde at the point where the river meets the sea. Painted in predominatly warm colours this painting would be a great focal point in any livingroom adding warmth to the atmosphere of the room. When creating this painting i worked to create the warm sky and sea first using large brushes to blend the paints and create a smooth gradient. Once dry I then started to add detail into the mountains and clouds and the finally finishing with the focal point of the Lighthouse.
